Screen Message (task)

Display a message on the screen.

[edit] Settings

• Position: (position control): Indicate where on the screen the display should be positioned.
• Auto dismiss after: (slider): Indicate how long the display should remain on the screen before automatically closing.
• Create new window: (checkbox): Select to indicate a new window should be used to display the message even if a message created previously is still visible.
• Background Color: (color picker): Opens a standard color picker used to select the background color and translucency settings for the screen message window.
• Message: (text): The contents of the message to be displayed.

Note: The font, color, shadow, etc for the text can be set by selecting Show Fonts (⌘-T) from the Format menu.
