[edit] Description
The PowerMate trigger is used in conjunction with the a PowerMate USB multimedia controller available from Griffin Technology. Triggering is available as the PowerMate rotates left or right as well as when the PowerMate button is pressed or released. Each of these triggers can be further refined with the addition of keyboard modifiers such as the shift, control, option and command keys.

- Using device (popup menu): Users with multiple PowerMates select the appropriate PowerMate to monitor using this menu.
- Trigger on (popup menu): Use this menu to select which PowerMate action will cause the trigger to fire. The choices are:
- Button Press
- Button Release
- Rotate Left
- Rotate Right
- ...for at least (slider): Use to select the minimum amount of time the PowerMate button must be held (or released) before the trigger fires. The range is from 0 seconds (immediately) to 6 seconds. This setting is only valid on button press and release triggers.
- ...and the following are also pressed (buttons): Indicate keyboard modifier keys and / or the PowerMate button must be pressed before the trigger will fire. For obvious reasons, using the PowerMate button as a modifer is disabled when triggering on a PowerMate button press or release.
- Fallback (checkbox): Used to indicate that this is a fallback trigger.

- PowerMateID (number): A number uniquely identifying each PowerMate.
- Action (number): A number identifying the PowerMate action responsible for the triggger:
- Button Press: 0
- Button Release: 1
- Rotate Left: 2
- Rotate Right: 3
- AbsoluteValue (number): A number between 0 and 1, inclusive, indicating the current rotational position of the PowerMate.
- RelativeValue (number): A number indicating the relative movement of the PowerMate since the last trigger.
- Modifiers (number): A number representing the modifiers active for this trigger. This number is the sum of the following:
- Shift Key: 1
- Control Key: 2
- Option Key: 4
- Command Key: 8
- PowerMate Button: 16
